History tells us that Monday’s launches of Soft AC’s branded “The Breeze” in Detroit, Philadelphia, and Sacramento will lead to a landrush of stations quickly following suit in markets big and small to claim their place of the next big trend. We saw this in the 1990s with All 70s and Jammin Oldies, in the 2000s with Variety Hits, and just last year with the Alternative resurgence. The domain registrations have already started coming in to back up that proposition.
