Social media accounts were reserved for the latter as well. Considering iHeartMedia Chicago SVP/Programming James Howard joined the cluster in January 2019 from the Program Director role at Classic Rock “Big 100” 100.3 WBIG-FM and Alternative “DC 101” 101.1 WWDC Washington and previously programmed Rock stations in Atlanta, Orlando and Tampa for the company, it seems obvious this will be the direction the station will be heading in. Chicago historically had been a good Rock market but since the demise of "97.9 The Loop" WLUP in 2018, it has been left with Hubbard Classic Rock "97.1 The Drive" WDRV and Cumulus Alternative "101 WKQX" WKQX but nothing leaning harder.
