Radio One has made changes at two of its three Cincinnati stations. Urban Oldies “Old School 100.3” WOSL Norwood has shifted to Urban AC as “100.3 R&B” featuring core artists such as R. After just seven months with its Sports format, Radio-One’s “100.3 The Fan” WCFN Cincinnati heads back to Urban Oldies at 12pm today. The station, which had been branded as “Mojo 100.3” until it began stunting last November, will become the newest convert to Radio-One’s “Old School” branding. WCFN is promoting itself as playing “back in the day jams from the 70s, 80s and 90s” and featuring core artists Luther Vandross, Anita Baker, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Rick James, and Whitney Houston. Radio One Rhythmic Oldies “Mojo 100.3” WMOJ Cincinnati will flip to Sports on January 2. The station will flip to Christmas music tonight at midnight to begin the transition. On January 2, the station will become the Cincinnati affiliate of the new CBS Sports Radio network. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that WFAN New York morning co-host (and former Cincinnati Bengal) Boomer Esiason will contribute customized local content for the new station. The new Sports outlet will join Clear Channel’s “ESPN 1530” WSAI and “Fox Sports 1360” WCKY in the market.
