Brian Thomas Moves From WLS-FM To WKHX

Following Friday’s exit of Scott Lindy, Cumulus Media is transferring Classic Hits 94.7 WLS-FM Chicago Program Director Brian Thomas to Atlanta to oversee Country “Kicks 101.5” WKHX. Thomas joined Cumulus in 2014 as Program Director of Country “Nash-FM 94.7” WNSH Newark NJ/New York and Corporate Country PD. He was transferred to WLS-FM in 2015 and added VP/Programming for Classic Hits to his title. Scott Lindy has departed his position as Cumulus Corporate Program Director and at Country “Kicks 101.5” WKHX Atlanta. Lindy joined Cumulus in May 2015 to program 95.5 WFMS Indianapolis and moved to WKHX the following October. Lindy spent 4 1/2 years as OM/PD of Hot AC “Star 94” WSTR Atlanta under Lincoln Financial Media ownership until its sale to Entercom in 2014 and 2+ years programming Country “94.9 The Bull” WUBL Atlanta. He has also programmed 93.1 WPOC Baltimore and served as Senior Director of Music Programming for Sirius Satellite Radio. Kicks 101.5 Atlanta Sets New On-Air Lineup

Cumulus Country “Kicks 101.5” WKHX Atlanta has reset its on-air lineup. With Dallas McCade announcing her move out of mornings earlier this week to become Music Director, she will also debut today in the midday 10am-3pm timeslot. To replace McCade in mornings, WKHX is revamping its morning show as “Caddy, CJ and Ali”. Incumbent morning host Cadillac Jack will be joined by afternoon host CJ Lusk and midday host Ali Mac. Afternoons will be jockless until a new host is named. Kicks 101.5 is also debuting a new positioning statement as it takes on the company’s Nash-FM slogan with a local twist as “Georgia’s Country For Life”. For the second time in a matter of weeks, Cumulus Country “Kicks 101.5” WKHX Atlanta has hired a new midday host. Ali Mac joins the station starting today as host of the 10am-3pm timeslot. Most recently co-hosting mornings at Hot AC 93.7 WGYL Vero Beach FL, This is a return to Atlanta for her. She spent a few years at Hot AC “Star 94” WSTR as morning traffic reporter and then night host working for now WKHX PD Scott Lindy. Bert Show Divorce Moves To Domain Squatting

Jeff Dauler’s exit from the syndicated Bert Show this week is turning ugly. Dauler resigned on Tuesday Morning after fourteen years with the show to join Entercom Hot AC “Star 94” WSTR Atlanta in February 2016. Cumulus Makes Country Programming Moves

Cumulus Media has named new Program Directors for their Country stations in Atlanta and Indianapolis as Greg Frey moves up to Corporate PD. “Kicks 101.5” WKHX Atlanta PD Greg Frey is moving to the Corporate office as Corporate Program Director focusing on the company’s Country portfolio. Replacing him in Atlanta will be Scott Lindy who joined Cumulus as PD of 95.5 WFMS Indianapolis in May. Lindy spent much of his career in Atlanta programming for Clear Channel and Lincoln Financial Media.
