101.5 Lite-FM Las Vegas Flips To KDWN Simulcast

Beasley Media has flipped Soft AC “101.5 Lite-FM” K268CS Las Vegas/KCYE-HD2 to a simulcast of Conservative Talk 720 KDWN. The move brings Conservative Talk programming to FM in Las Vegas for the first time since CBS Radio ended the simulcast of 840 KXNT and 100.5 KXNT-FM in 2015. KDWN registered a 1.1 share in the May 2018 Nielsen Audio Ratings, placing it behind KXNT’s 2.0 share. The Soft AC format of 101.5 was unlisted in the publicly available Nielsen Audio ratings. Beasley Media Country “102.7 The Coyote” KCYE Boulder City/Las Vegas has announced Jeff Kurkjian & Aimee Montgomery will take over their morning show starting Monday, March 12. Kurkjian most recently hosted mornings at Entercom Hot AC “Q104” 104.1 WQAL Cleveland until his departure last month. Beasley Media has appointed Dennis Gwiazdon as its new Vice President/Market Manager for its Las Vegas properties. Gwiazdon joins Beasley from Midwest Communications where he had overseen their Nashville properties since 2001. He has also served as VP/GM for Nationwide Communications in San Diego and Brown Broadcasting in San Diego, Salt Lake City, and Seattle as well as President of Sales Insights for Coleman Insights. Aimee Montgomery, who had been serving as local producer/host for the syndicated Brooke & Jubal show on sister Hot AC “Star 107.9” KVGS, will move to K268CS for middays starting Wednesday, July 5. Beasley Shells Out Big Bucks For Las Vegas Translator

Beasley Media is adding another signal in Las Vegas as it agrees to purchase 101.5 K268CS Las Vegas from Southern Nevada Educational Broadcasters for $700,000. The translator currently rebroadcasts co-owned Christian Talk 1060 KKVV, which has a CP to relocate 97.3 K247AX Tonopah NV to 99.9 in North Las Vegas as part of the AM Revitalization. Beasley states in the sale contract that it will use the translator to rebroadcast 102.7 KCYE-HD2 Boulder City. K268CS currently covers the southern portions of the Las Vegas market, but holds a CP to relocate to KKVV’s tower with 250w/57m, where it will provide coverage of the entire city and adjacent suburbs.
