Jerry Bader has exited as 8:30-11am host at Midwest Communications’ 1360 WTAQ Green Bay/97.5 WTAQ-FM Glenmore WI in what he claims was due to “the manner in which I covered President Trump.” Bader was syndicated to Midwest’s 550 WSAU Wausau/99.9 WSAU-FM Rudolph and 1330 WHBL/95.1 W268BR Sheboygan. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel states that Bader had recently changed the tagline of his program from “Close captioned for the reality impared” to “Truth over tribe”. Cromwell Sports “102.5 The Game” WPRT-FM Pegram/Nashville is launching a local morning show. “Braden and Fitz” starring Braden Gall and Jason Fitz will debut on the station from 6-10am on Tuesday, September 6 expanding the station to 12 hours of locally originating talk programming daily. Gall joins WPRT from Athlon Sports and SiriusXM where he writes and hosts college football programming. Longtime Nashville Sports talker George Plaster will exit his position as host of “SportsNight” on Cromwell Sports “102.5 The Game” WPRT Pegram/Nashville to become Associate Athletic Director at Belmont University. WPRT is the third station that has been the home to SportsNight, which debuted on now Cumulus News/Talk 99.7 WWTN in the early 1990’s before moving the afternoons on Sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX in 2003. One year after leaving his longtime flagship 99.7 WWTN for Cromwell Sports “102.5 The Game” WPRT-FM, syndicated advice host Dave Ramsey is once again on the move in Nashville. Beginning on January 2, Ramsey will move to Clear Channel News/Talk 1510 WLAC. In the move, Ramsey will lose his live clearance in the Nashville market as the program will air on delay from 5-8pm. Syndicated advice host Dave Ramsey will be changing stations in Nashville on January 1 as he leaves Cumulus News/Talk 99.7 WWTN for Cromwell Sports “102.5 The Game” WPRT. WWTN had been Ramsey’s flagship station for the past twenty years, but were unable to come to terms on a contract renewal. Update 8/29: 102.5 The Game debuted this morning at 6:00am. The full lineup as of now includes “The First Quarter” with Darren McFarland and Brad Hopkins from 6am to 10am, Joe Dubin from 1pm to 3pm, Aaron Solomon from 3pm to 6pm, and the syndicated Robert Wuhl at night. The station is currently airing replays of Nashville Predators games from last season in the 10am to 1pm slot until it finds a temporary fill-in. The three-way CHR battle in Nashville has dropped down to two. Cromwell Group’s “102.5 The Party” WPRT-FM has shifted to a Hot AC mix that can best be described as Party Hits. This takes it out of direct competition with Clear Channel’s “107.5 The River” WRVW and Cumulus’ “i106.7” WNFN. 102.5 has shifted between CHR and Hot AC a few times in the past decade.
