EMF Acquires AC 102.7 Atlantic City

Longport Media has sold CHR “AC 102.7” WWAC Ocean City/Atlantic City NJ to Educational Media Foundation for $570,000. As with all of its acquisitions, EMF plans to convert the station to non-commercial status as it will likely bring the Christian AC “K-Love” format to the station upon closing of the deal. WWAC Atlantic City Rebrands As AC102.7

Longport Media has completed the first phase of its reconstruction of its cluster. After acquiring the stations out of bankruptcy this summer, the company has retooled every station in its cluster. Classic Hits “Kool 98.3” WTKU gained a new airstaff, Classic Rock “103.7 The Shark” flipped to Mainstream Rock as “103.7 WMGM Rocks“, and Spanish Hits “La Fiesta 1490” WBSS shifted to a simulcast of Philadelphia Sports WIP-FM. Now Dance CHR “Wild 102.7” has rebranded as “AC 102.7“. Musically the station sounds identical to what it had been doing, but without the overtly party-centric imaging the station launched with in July 2010.
