The Sun Rises On A New AC In Bakersfield

iHeartMedia has launched AC “Sunny 105.3” KBFP-FM Delano/Bakersfield CA. As first hinted in yesterday’s Daily Domains, the new format replaces Spanish AC “La Preciosa 105.3” with a competitor to American General Media’s Hot AC leaning 101.5 KGFM Bakersfield. The new format is being presented as as upbeat variety of hits from the 1980s through today as is being overseen at launch by iHeartMedia Central California SVP/Programming Steve Weed. Jose ‘El Gallo’ Gadea Named PD Of La Preciosa Network

iHeartMedia has named Jose ‘El Gallo’ Gadea as Program Director for its Spanish Adult Hits “La Preciosa” network. Gallo joins iHeartMedia from UniRadio’s Tijuana/San Diego cluster where he served as PD/Midday host of Regional Mexican “La Invasora 99.7” XHTY. He has also programmed Univision’s Regional Mexican “La Nueva 106.5” KLNV and Spanish AC “K-Love 102.9” KLQV San Diego and Emmis’ Regional Mexican “La Z 107.1” KLZT Austin. KVMX Bakersfield Goes Country
