Walker Broadcasting & Communications is reshaping its portfolio in Lubbock, TX. Alternative “105.7 The Edge” KRBL Idalou has moved to 1420 KJDL/98.5 K253BD Lubbock replacing CHR “Z98.5“. The CHR format lasted almost exactly one year as it debuted on February 18, 2014. The move of The Edge makes way on KRBL for Classic Hits “105.7 King-FM“. The new station is named for former Townsquare Media Classic Hits “98.1 Kool” KKCL PD/Morning Host Landon King. King will be holding the same duties at KRBL. Walker Broadcasting & Communications also owns Texas/Red Dirt Country “105.3 The Rebel” KJDL-FM Levelland in the Lubbock market.

Spanish Christian “Radio Alabanzas 105.7” KRBL Idalou/Lubbock, TX has been placed in receivership and will soon gain a new format. Bill Whitley, Director of Media Services Group has been granted court ordered management of the station from Albert and Ricky Benavides due to lack of payment of $250,000 towards their purchase of the station. Whitley will be responsible for placing the station up for sale to recoup the money owed. A new operator may already have been found.
