Claudia Menegus Named Entercom Orlando Market Manager

Entercom has promoted Claudia Menegus to the role of Senior Vice President/Market Manager for its three stations in Orlando FL. Menegus most recently served as Director of Sales for the Orlando cluster under Steve Carver, who managed both Miami and Orlando for CBS Radio before exiting upon the closing of the merger. She has also served as NTR Director/Sales Manager of 105.7 WHFS Baltimore and Director of Integrated Marketing for CBS Radio during her career. Sunny 105.9 Orlando Debuts

As we predicted back on Christmas Day, 105.9 WOCL has debuted its new format as “Orlando’s Greatest Hits – Sunny 105.9“. The station debuted with a similar production montage to the one used by sister WCBS-FM New York when that station returned last Summer. The station’s music is centered in the 70’s but includes a healthy amount of 60’s and 80’s as well. Imaging is voiced by WCBS-FM’s Ziggy. Listen to the stunt montage and format change here.

Next CBS Change: Orlando?

Update 12/25: Here’s a domain we missed. Sunny1059.com was registered by Intertech Media (the company that runs CBS Radio’s sites) the same day as the first batch of domains were registered. Paired with the odd cloudy1059.com registration made by CBS, we’re thinking this is the likely winner of the new format debate. In order to protect sister Hot AC WOMX, we would expect a gold leaning AC or Classic Hits. Update 12/18: The Orlando Sentinel has picked up our report and gets a noncommittal response of speculation from local CBS executive Earnest James.
