Edward Walker’s Cityworks Community Broadcasting is selling AAA “101.5 The Music Place” WVMP Vinton/Roanoke, VA to William Amos’ Community Media Group for $175,000. iHeartMedia acquires the CP for 93.3 W227CX Magnolia Park/West Palm Beach from Way Media for $100,000. W227CX will rebroadcast an HD subchannel of 92.1 WRLX West Palm Beach. Shamrock Communications purchases the CP for 106.1 K291BX Las Vegas from Broadcast Towers for $15,000. Jonah Creek Media is disbanding its operations in two transfers. 88.9 KXMP Blowout and 99.1 K256BX Luckenbach, TX will be transferred to the newly formed Sun Radio Foundation. 100.1 K261DW Austin will go to Township Media, LLC doing business as SunRadio.com. FCC Applications 4/23: Las Vegas Move-In & Wichita Frequency Change

Station Moves As its current CP expires, Shamrock Communications is taking another stab at moving 105.9 KZNV Amargosa Valley into the Las Vegas market. The new attempt will boost the station to a Class C operating with 100kW at 596 meters on 106.1 from a site in Timpi Canyon, well northwest of Las Vegas. The station’s coverage contour will cover the majority of the market. KZNV filed a silent STA in December 2013 while awaiting the filing of a move to a new transmitter site. Shamrock holds a CP for a new station licensed to Pahrump, NV on 95.9 that could also eventually be attempted to move into Las Vegas. Woman’s World Broadcasting’s “South 107” 107.1 WTSH-FM Rockmart/Rome, Ga has completed one upgrade and applied for another. The station has jumped from 45kW to 100kW. The application will keep the station at 100kW but increase the antenna height from 158 to 287 meters. If approved the station’s service contour will just miss downtown Atlanta. In Atlanta, Clear Channel’s 94.9 WUBL and 96.1 WKLS are looking to make a minor adjustment. Their application to move to a new tower 150 meters away from their current one. 94.9 will adjust from 99kW to 73.6kW while increasing from 298 to 330 meters. 96.1’s shift is from 99kW at 300 meters to 97kW at 330 meters.
