Orginal Report 12/1: The sale of Nassau Broadcasting’s Northern New England stations to WBIN Media, Great Eastern Radio, and various third parties has closed; bringing with it a number of programming changes throughout the region. In Portland, WBIN Media has rebranded Active Rock “106.3 The Bone” WHXR Scarborough as “Rock 106.3“. Classical “W-Bach” 107.7 WBQI Bar Harbor goes to Blueberry Broadcasting and is now simulcasting Classic Hits “B104.7” 104.7 WBAK Belfast/Bangor as WBKA. Nassau Broadcasting Auction Results

Update 6/14: Two of the stations that Jeff Shapiro’s Vertical Captial Partners acquired the rights to will be spun off to a third party to keep Shapiro under FCC ownership limits. “101.5 The Fox” WEXP Brandon and “Oldies 104.3” WWOD Hartford, VT will be sold William and Gail Goddard’s Electromagnetic Company. Both WEXP and WWOD have simulcasts that will be staying with Vertical Capital so we will need to wait to see what happens with the programming at the pair.
