After exiting 790 KABC’s Dr. Drew Midday Live in January, Mike Catherwood has returned to Entercom Alternative 106.7 KROQ Pasadena/Los Angeles as part of the Kevin & Bean Show. ‘Psycho Mike’ was part of the Kevin & Bean Show until moving to Loveline in 2010. He and Dr. Drew Pinsky then continued their Loveline pairing as midday hosts on KABC at the start of 2015. After exiting CBS Radio Alternative 106.7 KROQ Pasadena/Los Angeles earlier this month after forty years with the station, Rodney ‘On The ROQ’ Bingenheimer is joining SiriusXM. Bingenheimer will be heard on “Little Steven’s Underground Garage” Channel 21 starting Sunday, July 16. His show will air from 9pm-12am eastern/6pm-9pm pacific. Rodney Binghenheimer joined KROQ in 1977 and was responsible for breaking many Rock and Punk bands. Dr. Drew Pinsky announced on this morning’s Kevin & Bean show on CBS Alternative 106.7 KROQ Los Angeles that the syndicated Loveline will end its run on Thursday, April 28. Pinksy joined what was the “Ask A Surgeon” on KROQ DJ Poorman’s show in 1984 before quickly becoming a co-host in what was retitled Loveline. Poorman was replaced as co-host by Riki Rachtman in 1993 and joined by Adam Carolla in 1995 around the time it went into national syndication leading to Rachtman’s departure a few months later. Carolla would leave at the end of 2005 for his syndicated morning show and Pinsky would later be joined by Stryker and later ‘Psycho Mike’ Catherwood as co-hosts. A year after being knocked off their perch by iHeartMedia CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles, Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP Washington DC has reclaimed the spot as the nation’s top billing radio station in BIA/Kelsey’s annual report. WTOP and its suburban simulcasters had its revenue rise from $63.5 million in 2014 to $65 million in 2015 to regain the lead, while continuing to be the only station outside of the top three markets to appear in the top 10 list. WTOP has now been the top billing station for five out of the past six years.
