Danny Meyers Joins Movin 107.7 Norfolk As PD/Morning Host

iHeartMedia Rhythmic AC “Movin 107.7” WMOV-FM Norfolk VA has named Danny Meyers as its new Program Director/Morning Host. Meyers exited Mel Wheeler Inc. CHR “K92” 92.3 WXLK Roanoke as APD/Morning host after fourteen years at the end of 2016 in preparation of joining WMOV-FM. He has also worked at 95.5 WPLJ New York, “Star 93.7” WQSX Boston, and “Mix 95.7” WMWX Philadelphia in his career. Tias Schuster Named iHeart Norfolk SVP/Programming

Tias Schuster is returning to Norfolk VA as Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia. Schuster, who previously programmed Entercom Rhythmic CHR “Z104” 104.5 WNVZ from from 2007-2012, returns to the market from Rochester NY where he programmed Hot AC “100.5 The Drive” WDVI and CHR “Kiss 106.7” WKGS for iHeart. Schuster has also programmed Entercom CHR’s “B93.7” WFBC-FM Greenville SC and 98.5 WKRZ Wilkes-Barre PA during his career. WMOV Norfolk Is Movin To Christmas

Clear Channel Rhythmic AC “Movin 107.7” WMOV-FM Norfolk has dropped its branding for Christmas music as “Christmas 107.7“. While not a complete guarantee the station will be dropping the regular format permanently, the fact that the station has dropped its Movin’ moniker places the station on our Post-Christmas Format Change watchlist.

107.7 WKUS Norfolk Movin Towards A Divorce

Update 3/31: The divorce has been finalized in Norfolk. Clear Channel has broken apart the simulcast of Urban AC “Kiss-FM” on 92.1 WKSA and 107.7 WKUS. At 3:00pm, 107.7 debuted its new “Movin 107.7” identity with a shift to Rhythmic AC. Clear Channel describes the station as “showcasing the best in retro, hip hop, R&B, classic dance hits and more from the 1990s, and will feature artists like Madonna, Prince, Beyonce, Earth Wind and Fire, Mariah Carey, Kool & The Gang, TLC, Michael Jackson, Black Eyed Peas and more.
