KSAN’s Steven Seaweed To End 44 Year Radio Career

Cumulus Classic Rock “107.7 The Bone” KSAN San Mateo/San Francisco has announced that midday host Steven Seaweed will retire from broadcasting on June 30. Ending a 44 year career, Seaweed will end his run with a “Bone-Voyage Cruise” for winning listeners, guests and station staffers. Seaweed has been with the current incarnation of KSAN since its launch in 1997. His radio career started at 101.7 KLRB Carmel in 1972, where he stayed until joining the original incarnation of KSAN on 94.9 San Francisco from 1978 through its 1980 flip to Country. Dominic ‘Zakk’ Zaccagnini Upped To KSAN Program Director

Cumulus Media Classic Rock “107.7 The Bone” KSAN San Francisco has promoted Dominic ‘Zakk’ Zaccagnini to Program Director. Zakk joined KSAN in July 2015 as APD/MD/Afternoon Host from sister 97.9 WLUP Chicago. He also has worked in Atlanta, San Jose, Louisville, Memphis, and Greenville SC as well as hosting the “Zakk & Jack” morning show on Fox Sports Radio from 2010-2012. Zaccagnini is KSAN’s third PD this year as he succeeds Bryan Schock. Schock joined KSAN and sister AAA 104.5 KFOG in March. Following the exit of Jim Richards last month, Cumulus Media has hired Brian Schock as OM/PD of AAA 104.5 KFOG/97.7 KFFG and Classic Rock “107.7 The Bone” KSAN San Francisco. With the move, KFOG is running jockless and running sweepers promoting an Evolution of the station on Wednesday, April 20. The entire airstaff has been let go including morning hosts Mike ‘No Name’ Nelson, Irish Greg McQuade and Renee Richardson, middayer Annalisa, afternoon host Bill Webster, and night host Dred Scott. Cumulus Media is moving Rock “97.9 The Loop” WLUP and Alternative 101 WKQX Chicago Operations Manager Jim Richards to San Francisco to become Operations Manager/Program Director of AAA 104.5 KFOG/97.7 KFFG and Rock “107.7 The Bone” KSAN. Derek Madden, PD/Afternoon Host of Cumulus Classic Rock “107.7 The Bone” KSAN San Francisco is heading down the coast to program sister 95.5 KLOS Los Angeles. Madden replaces APD/Interim PD Bill Huning who exited KLOS yesterday. KLOS had been without a permanent PD since the departure of Jack Silver in June 2012. Prior to joining KSAN, Madden programmed now defunct Clear Channel Alternative 92.3 KSJO San Jose. On the heels of the hiring of Bill Pugh as OM of AAA 104.5 KFOG/97.7 KFFG and Classic Rock “107.7 The Bone” KSAN and PD of KFOG, Cumulus Media has continued the restructuring of its San Francisco market management staff with two additional appointments today. Steven Sklenar joins the company as Market Manager overseeing the aforementioned KFOG/KFFG, KSAN, as well as Conservative Talk 560 KSFO, News/Talk 810 KGO, and Sports duo 680 KNBR and 1050 KTCT.
