Medha Ghandi Joins Elvis Duran Show

iHeartMedia’s Elvis Duran and the Morning Show has announced Medha Gandhi will join the show on September 17 as its new co-host. Gandhi joins the show from iHeart’s “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM Boston where she currently serves as Executive Producer and co-host of Matty in the Morning. She has also served in a similar role for WNCI Columbus’ Dave and Jimmy Show and works as a comedy writer, parody song producer and voicetracker. She is the great-granddaughter of Indian activist Mahatma Gandhi. iHeartMedia CHR “Channel 93.3” KHTS-FM El Cajon/San Diego CA has filled its nighttime opening with the addition of Ethan Cole from sister “Kiss 108” 107.9 WXKS-FM Boston. WXKS Gets Caught Lying To Audience

On Saturday, Boston’s “Kiss 108” WXKS was the last of 12 Clear Channel stations to host its annual Jingle Ball holiday concert. With a snowstorm bearing down on Boston, headliner Miley Cyrus was stuck at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey and unable to make her flight into Boston for the show. As Gawker reports that didn’t stop Kiss from promoting that Miley was already at the TD Garden for the show. Afternoon host Romeo made references to Cyrus throughout his show including a promotional staffer joking that he tripped over a dancer in to her and that she was walking around backstage in a bathing suit. How Boston Radio Handled Today’s Bombing Coverage

The radio industry’s response to today’s explosions at the Boston Marathon has been very varied. Shortly after news broke, CBS’ entire cluster began simulcasting the coverage of either News 1030 WBZ or sister WBZ-TV 4. Entercom’s 93.7 WEEI-FM broke in with local coverage following its post-game coverage of the Boston Red Sox game before temporarily simulcasting sister Talk 680 WRKO and then returning to local programming.
