Alana Lynn will move from afternoons to join Niko Petrou on “The Breakfast Buzz” from 5:30-10am. She will also continue to serve as Music Director at the station. Meanwhile, Nina D, who had been part of the stations Morning Show since 2013, will move to the 1-7pm afternoon shift at the station. Jared Marshall will remain in the 10am-1pm midday slot and Jeana Shepard in the 7pm-12am evening shift. Morning host Chris Matthews has exited his position as morning host at Entercom Country 107.9 KMLE Phoenix. Matthews announced his departure on-air this past Monday explaining that he was stepping down from the morning show to spend more time with his family. Matthews had joined KMLE in June 2014 as APD/MD/Midday host but dropped those duties when he moved to mornings in January 2016. Nina D and producer ‘Badger Gabe’ remain in place in mornings.
CBS Radio Country 94.1 KMPS Seattle has anointed David Dean as its new Music Director/Afternoon host. Dean joins KMPS from sister Country 107.9 KMLE Phoenix where he held similar duties. Following yesterday’s dismissal of morning hosts Tim & Willy at CBS Country 107.9 KMLE Phoenix there have been reports that domain registrations were made for a potential flip to Sports. Originating from this messageboard post, claims have been made that CBS has registered 1079TheFan.com for the station. Problem is that domain is still available for registration by any interested party as are any domains with any combination of 1079, Fan, and Phoenix. On top of that, the Fan moniker is currently in use in the market at Sandusky’s 1060 KDUS.
