Riverbend Communications has flipped Mormon “Sunny AM” 690 KEII Blackfoot/1260 KEIR Pocatello ID to Variety Hits “Cannonball 101“. Each station has a translator at 101.1 with K266BY Pocatello and K266AF covering Idaho Falls. 1260 KEIR also has new KNBL call letters to match the new format. EastIdahoNews.com reports that the station is featuring a broad playlist stretching from the 1950s through now. Jade Davis is serving as Program Director and the station will feature a rotating group of guest DJs from sister stations and those formerly in the market in mornings.

The new format will build off the syndicated “Sounds Of Sunday” program that airs on sister AC “Classy 97.3” KLCE with artists such as Hilary Weeks, Michael W. Smith, Cherie Call, Kenneth Cope, Amy Grant, Paul Cardall, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The station will retain the syndicated Dave Ramsey show from 12-3pm.
