As first reported in our 2/10 Daily Domains, iHeartMedia has flipped “Fox Sports 1580” WWTF Georgetown/97.7 W249DJ Lexington KY to Rock “WTF 97.7“. Running with the usual commercial-free launch pattern, the new format flanks sister Classic Rock “100.1 Double Q” WKQQ against Cumulus Active Rock “Z-Rock 103” WXZZ. Audrey, who currently voicetracks overnights at WKQQ, will also host nights at WTF. No additional staffing has been announced.

WWTF Lexington Flips To Sports

Clear Channel’s 1580 WWTF Georgetown/Lexington, KY will flip from 24/7 Comedy to Sports on Thursday, May 15. The new “Fox Sports 1580” will launch with a mostly national lineup including Fox Sports Daybreak from 6-9am, Dan Patrick 9am-12pm, and Jay Mohr 12-3pm. From 3-6pm the station will replay the Sports programming that airs earlier in the day on sister News/Talk 630 WLAP and 1080 WKJK Louisville. Tom Leach’s Leach Report will air from 3-4pm and Kentucky Sports Radio with Matt Jones and Ryan Lemond from 4-6pm. Fox Sports Radio programming will air in nights and weekends.
