Station Sales Following the merger of Port Broadcasting and Aruba Capital Partners announced this week, Port is expanding into Bangor ME with the purchase of Pine Tree Broadcasting’s three AMs and one translator for $172,000. Oldies 1230 WGUY Veazie, Soft AC “94.1 The Wave” 1340 WBAN/94.1 W231CH Bangor, and Classic Country “1400 The Country Road” WCYR Veazie began being operated by Port via LMA on December 1. Adelman Broadcasting is purchasing 98.5 KGIL-FM Johannesburg, CA from Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters for $110,000. KGIL-FM, which currently simulcasts “Go Country 105.1” KKGO-FM Los Angeles, will become Adelman’s seventh station in the Ridgecrest, CA market. Catholic station operator Real Presence Radio is acquiring 89.9 KQFR Rapid City, SD from Family Stations for $200,000. Real Presence currently owns six stations and two translators in North Dakota. The Julia Cherry Living Revocable Trust purchases silent 1590 WPUL South Daytona, FL for the assumption of debt.
