Station Sales Salem Media is converting its LMA of Conservative Talk “860 The Answer” KTRB San Francisco into a $5.125 million purchase from Susan Uecker, the bankruptcy court appointed receiver of Pappas Radio through an East Bay Broadcasting subsidiary. Salem began operating KTRB on July 1 after a previous attempt to sell the station to John Douglas’ US International Radio for $6.5 million in 2015 was cancelled. Salem will assume the LMA currently held by Deportes Media who has been operating the station as Spanish Sports “ESPN Deportes 860“. Station Moves US International Radio’s pending acquisition Spanish Sports “ESPN Deportes 860” KTRB San Francisco seeks to combine its daytime and nighttime patterns onto the same tower. KTRB currently diplexes in the daytime on one of the four towers of Salem’s 1100 KFAX San Francisco with 50kW. At night KTRB applies to utilize all four of KFAX’s towers to operate with a directional 5kW pointed due west downgrading from the 50kW the station is currently operating with.
