Clay Holladay's Northwest Florida Media is seeking to bring a new Class A signal to 106.9 in Fort Walton Beach FL. The addition of a new 106.9 allocation to Fort Walton Beach is made possible by Holladay's Gulf South Communications completing the downgrade of CHR 106.7 WKMX Enterprise AL from a Class C to C1, while moving eastward towards Dothan. Holladay sold a five station cluster in Fort Walton Beach to Cumulus in 2002 for $28.5 million. If the new allocation is granted by the FCC it will go into the next auction for new FM signals.
