FM Changes Entravision has applied for a multi-signal change that would allow its Regional Mexican "Jose 107.1" KVVA-FM Apache Junction AZ to move to the South Mountain tower farm just south of downtown Phoenix. KVVA-FM would move to South Mountain with a city-of-license change to Sun Lakes operating with 870w/508m. To make that move possible simulcaster 106.9 KDVA Buckeye applies to move to 106.7 with no changes to its 6kW/93m facilities. Prescott Valley Broadcasting Company AC 106.7 KPPV Prescott AZ would be issued a show cause order to move to 106.9, while the vacant allocation on 107.3 in Aguila AZ would receive new reference coordinates. FCC Report 12/11: MX Settlement Reached In St. Louis

Covenant Network and Salem Media have come to a settlement over their competing AM Revitalization applications for 96.7 in St. Louis. Salem applied for and has been granted a CP to move 95.1 W249CQ Colfax IN to 95.1 instead with 85w/157m rebroadcasting Conservative Talk "1260 The Answer" WSDZ Belleville IL. That will enable Covenant Network's 97.5 W248CH Belleville to make its move to 96.7 in Shrewsbury MO with 250w/263m rebroadcasting Catholic 1460 KHOJ St. Charles.

FCC Report 9/25: Class C Boost For Way-FM Dallas

Since Way Media acquired 89.7 KAWA Sanger TX (formerly KVRK) last year, the company has been attempting to upgrade its signal in the Dallas market. In March they gained a CP to increase from a Class C1 with 14kW/518m to a C0 with 45kW/518m. Now they are applying to move all the way to a Class C.

FM Changes Way Media’s recently acquired 89.7 KAWA Sanger TX seeks to increase its coverage in Dallas by upgrading from a Class C1 to C0. KAWA will increase power from 14 to 45 watts from its current 518 meter antenna (Coverage Map).

WayFM Acquires KVRK Dallas

The acquisition of KVRK has been filed with the FCC. Way Media will pay $2 million for the station and has applied to operate it as a satellite of 88.7 WAYM Spring Hill/Nashville, TN.
