North Texas Public Broadcasting has debuted a new aural and visual brand package for its two radio stations, television station, and online properties. The logos for Public News/Talk 90.9 KERA-FM, AAA “91.7 KXT” KKXT, KERA-TV, KERANews.org and ArtAndSeek.org will all feature a speech bubble that the stations state “exemplifies the civil conversations audiences can find on KERA every day”. The stations will all be branded under the “Go Public” moniker. The radio stations will feature a new audio theme. First Dallas Media has dropped locally originated programming from 93.9 KCRN-FM San Angelo, TX to simulcast sister 90.9 KCBI Dallas. Now branding as the “KCBI Network“, the stations are positioning as “encouraging music & words of hope for Central and West Texas and Southern Oklahoma”. As reader Chip Kelley notes, it appears likely that 91.5 KSYE Frederick, OK/Wichita Falls, TX will be next to join the KCBI Network as it has changed calls to KCBK.
