Legend On The Move In Jackson

New South Radio Classic Country “100.9 The Legend” WJXN-FM Utica MS will move to 93.5 on Monday, July 31. The move comes as New South completes the $600,000 purchase of Christian AC “Star 93.5” WHJT Kearney Park from Mississippi College. New South currently leases 100.9 WJXN-FM from Flinn Broadcasting and will terminate that arrangement when it closes on its purchase of WHJT. WHJT and WJXN-FM both serve the Jackson MS market.

FCC Rulings Educational Media Foundation's application for review of the grant of Razorcake/Gorsky Press' LPFM on 92.7 in Pasadena CA has been dismissed. EMF argued that the LPFM would create interference to its 92.7 KYLA Fountain Valley and it should not have been qualified for a second-adjacent interference waiver as it did not include co-channel interference in its filing. The FCC has denied WJBW Inc's petition to review a decision regrading the deletion of 104.5 W283AM Arcadia FL. WJBW sought to move W283AM to 104.7 in Jupiter FL rebroadcasting their 1000 WJBW Jupiter/West Palm Beach after purchasing it and another translator from Azure Media in November 2015. EMF will acquire Kona Coast Radio’s Hawaiian 95.9 KKHI Kaunakakai HI, Future Modulation Broadcasting’s Hot AC “My 100.7” Kihei HI, and Mountain Community Translators’ 94.5 K233DC Kailua HI, 96.5 K243AM Colorado Springs CO, and 101.7 K269EQ Loveland CO in exchange for 102.9 KMKV Paia HI, 96.5 K243BN Laveen/Phoenix AZ, and 96.5 K243BP Casa Grande AZ. Station Moves US International Radio’s pending acquisition Spanish Sports “ESPN Deportes 860” KTRB San Francisco seeks to combine its daytime and nighttime patterns onto the same tower. KTRB currently diplexes in the daytime on one of the four towers of Salem’s 1100 KFAX San Francisco with 50kW. At night KTRB applies to utilize all four of KFAX’s towers to operate with a directional 5kW pointed due west downgrading from the 50kW the station is currently operating with.
