The first two affiliates for ABC Radio/Skyview Networks’ newly syndicated Dana Cortez Show have been revealed. In her home market of San Antonio, the show will air from 3-7pm afternoons on Alpha Media Rhythmic CHR “Energy 94.1” KTFM Floresville. The show had been airing in mornings at Univision’s “98.5 The Beat” KBBT from October 2015 until exiting at the end of July. Prior to moving to KBBT, the show was based at “Kiss 97.3” KKSS Albuquerque and aired there until Univision sold the station to American General Media in 2017. Edgewater had applied for and was granted a CP to move K242CI to Billings rebroadcasting Sun Mountain Inc.'s 1340 KBSR Laurel MT where it was operating as AC "Magic 102.5". Connoisseur claims that K242CI and 104.5 K283CP (licensed to rebroadcast 1450 KYLW Lockwood MT) have been operating illegally. After looping “It’s Raining Tacos” for nine hours, Alpha Media relaunched CHR 94.1 KTFM Floresville/San Antonio as “Energy 94.1“. The existing KTFM airstaff remains in place and minimal changes were made to the playlist. The station is promoting the fact the station’s staff is all in San Antonio unlike its direct competitors owned by iHeartMedia and Univision. Meanwhile sister 102.7 KJXK, which teased a flip to Country at 4:00pm, went back to its original format at 5:00. The stunting at KJXK was done to make others believe KTFM was returning to its heritage dial position. The selloff of Border Media’s properties has reached its conclusion as the Border Media Business Trust has sold their San Antonio cluster to Larry Wilson’s L&L Broadcasting for $31 Million. The purchase gives L&L eight stations in San Antonio and 43 total. Involved in the sale are News/Talk 550 KTSA, Sports “ESPN 1250” KZDC, CHR 94.1 KTFM, Regional Mexican “La Ley 95.7” KLEY, Variety Hits “102.7 Jack-FM” KJXK, Spanish Sports 720 KSAH/103.1 KHHL, and Regional Mexican “Norteno 104.1” KSAH-FM. KHHL’s signal is nonexistent in San Antonio proper, while 95.7 and 104.1 rimshot the market from the south. In 2012 Border Media began its selloff by divesting of its Austin and Rio Grande Valley stations.
