Breakfast Club On The Move As Streetz 94.5 Atlanta Launches New Morning Show

Premiere Radio Network’s syndicated Breakfast Club is on the lookout for a new Atlanta affiliate as Core Communicators Urban “Streetz 94.5” W233BF/WSTR-HD3 Atlanta has replaced the show with a new local program hosted by midday host Mo Quick and rapper/”Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” star Yung Joc. The new program is being called “The Streetz Morning Takeover” and airing from 6-10am. W233BF had been carrying the Breakfast Club since 2014. Was the show pulled from W233BF? Streetz Expands In North Georgia

Core Communicators Urban “Streetz 94.5” W233BF/WSTR-HD3 Atlanta has expanded its coverage to North Georgia as it has closed on its purchase of 94.5 WIPK Calhoun, GA. WIPK has dropped its Country “Kickin 94.5” format and flipped to a simulcast of the “Streetz” programming. Core Communicators North had purchased WIPK in January 2014 for $880,000. WIPK rimshots Rome, GA and covers the I-75 corridor between Atlanta and Chattanooga. Core Communicators North has just closed on WIPK-Calhoun, Georgia and will immediately simulcast the Streetz 94.5 brand. Translator Sales Steve Hegwood’s Core Communicators is converting its lease of 94.5 W233BF Atlanta into a purchase. Edgewater Broadcasting will receive $53,000 for the translator, which currently operates as Urban “Streetz 94.5” via a rebroadcast of 94.1 WSTR-HD3. Hegwood had previously applied to purchase the translator in 2010 for $60,000, but that deal never closed. Curtis Media’s Eastern Airwaves adds yet another Raleigh area translator with the acquisition of the CP for 93.3 W227CU Cary from Juan Alberto Ayala for $150,000. 94.5 W233BF Social Circle, GA has completed its move-in to Atlanta and has launched as Urban “Streetz 94.5“. Update 6/24: On the same day that Streetz 94.5 debuted, Radio-One quickly claimed the Streets945.com domain to point listeners back to their “Hot 107.9” WHTA.
