Al Farb Joins KSCS Dallas As APD/MD/Afternoon Host

Cumulus Media Country 96.3 KSCS Dallas has appointed Al Farb as its Assistant Program Director/Afternoon Host. Farb joins KSCS from Cox Media Houston where he served as morning show producer at Country “93Q” 92.9 KKBQ and midday host at Classic Country “Country Legends 97.1” KTHT. The Houston native also served in multiple roles at iHeartMedia News/Talk 740 KTRH and Sports 790 KBME. Farb fills the opening created by Trapper John Morris’ move to SiriusXM at the end of 2017. Mac Daniels Named PD Of KPLX/KSCS

Cumulus Media has transferred Mac Daniels to Dallas to program Country duo 96.3 KSCS and “99.5 The Wolf” KPLX. Daniels fills the void created by J.R. Schumann’s departure for SiriusXM in December. He had been programming Cumulus’ “92.3 Nash-FM” KSJO San Jose. Daniels has previously programmed WMZQ Washington, WYCD Detroit, KSKS Fresno and KASE/KVET Austin. KSCS Names New Morning Show Co-Host

Following the December retirement of Terry Dorsey, Cumulus Country 96.3 KSCS Dallas, has completed the revamp of its morning show with the addition of Katelyn ‘Connected K’ Maida. Maida will join incumbents Mark “Hawkeye” Louis and “Trapper” John Morris on Monday, March 9. She most recently served as Social Media Producer for Cox Media Houston and on-air weekends at Country “93Q” 92.9 KKBQ. Cumulus announces that radio personality Katelyn Maida, known on air as “Connected K”, will join the New Country 96.3 KSCS morning show with Mark “Hawkeye” Louis and “Trapper” John Morris. Terry Dorsey Retiring From KSCS Dallas

After 33 years in mornings in the Dallas market, Terry Dorsey has announced his retirement from Cumulus Country 96.3 KSCS. Dorsey entered the Dallas market at now-sister 99.5 KPLX in 1981. He crossed over to KSCS in 1988 to front “The Dorsey Gang” with co-host Mark ‘Hawkeye’ Louis. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram states that move to KSCS led to a long stretch of dominance for the station leading the market. In 2011 the program was retitled as “Hawkeye & Dorsey”. Dorsey’s final day on the station will be next Wednesday, December 17. Following his exit, Hawkeye and producer ‘Trapper’ John Morris will continue in the timeslot.
