Wray Fitch’s GSB Broadcasting will purchase “101.1 Jack-FM” WSUX-FM Snow Hill/Salisbury MD for $262,500 to join a cluster that includes Variety Hits “96.5 CTG” WCTG Chincoteague VA and Classic Country “Wow 101.5/87.7” WOWZ-FM Chincoteague and WOWZ-LP Salisbury. GSB also has begun operating “Shore Country 99.3” WVES Accomac VA and is currently simulcasting WOWZ as it plans to relaunch the station in November. It didn’t take long for Radio-One’s lawyers to put an end to the “Boom” moniker on HHawaii Media’s 97.1 K246BR Honolulu/101.1 KORL-HD4 Waianae. The station’s website is gone and the Facebook page has removed any reference to the now former moniker. Identifying on-air as just “97 dot 1“, the station can be heard online here.
