Miller Communications Shuffling Central Illinois Formats

Miller Communications is planning a complete restructuring of its Taylorville, IL area stations on Friday, August 1. The moves will see the company launch a new frequency in its cluster while another moves to a new frequency. News/Talk 97.3 WTIM-FM Taylorville will relocate to the former 870 WINU Shelbyville and 96.3 W242BZ Taylorville. Miller subsidiary Kaskaskia Broadcasting acquired the currently silent 870 earlier this year from New Life Envangelical Center for $175,000. The station has repeatedly changed call letters from WINU to WTLY to WSVZ to now WTIM since May.
