Just months after moving from “XL 102.1” WRXL Richmond to iHeartMedia’s “106.5 The End” WEND Charlotte as APD/MD/Midday host, Tamo Sein is making another big market jump as she joins “Alt 98.7” KYSR Los Angeles as midday host. Lisa Worden Adds Alt 98.7 Program Director Duties

Just two months after joining iHeartMedia as VP/Programming for Alternative “Alt 98.7” KYSR Los Angeles and Alternative Rock Brand Manager, Lisa Worden is adding the day-to-day Program Director duties at KYSR. Worden joined iHeart in November 2017 after serving two stints with 106.7 KROQ as Music Director and Assistant Program Director from 1995 through 2017. In between she spent 2003-2005 as Program Director at Alternative 99.1 WHFS Annapolis MD. She takes the Program Director reins at KYSR from Mike Kaplan. After over two decades at CBS Radio’s 106.7 KROQ Los Angeles, Lisa Worden is jumping to iHeartMedia where she will serve as Vice President of Programming for Alternative “Alt 98.7” KYSR Los Angeles and Alternative Rock Brand Manager for the company’s National Programming Group. Worden joined KROQ as Music Director in 1995 and outside of two years programming sister 99.1 WHFS Annapolis MD from 2003-2005 has been there ever since currently serving as Assistant Program Director. iHeartMedia Extends & Expands Woody Show Into Syndication

iHeartMedia has announced they have signed Woody Fife to a five year contract extension and will expand “The Woody Show” into syndication. The Woody Show joined iHeartMedia’s “Alt 98.7” KYSR Los Angeles in April 2014 and was syndicated to “Alt 104.9” KLLT Columbia IL/St. Louis last October. Woody Show Moving To Alt 98.7 Los Angeles

Clear Channel Alternative “Alt 98.7” KYSR Los Angeles will bring on The Woody Show for mornings beginning on April 21. The four members of the show will reunite at KYSR for the first time since 2009 when they hosted mornings at “Live 105” KITS San Francisco. Woody and Renay Ravey currently are part of the ‘Woody & Rizzuto’ morning show at “105.7 The Point” KPNT St. Louis. Greg Gory currently co-hosts mornings at AAA 104.5 KFOG San Francisco and Menace most recently hosted nights at KITS. Current KYSR morning host Kennedy will remain in place until the Woody Show debuts.

KYSR Los Angeles Rebrands

Clear Channel Alternative “98.7 FM” KYSR Los Angeles has a new name. After six years of just identifying by its frequency, the station has rebranded as “Alt 98.7“. In the July PPM’s, KYSR ranked 17th in the market with a 2.6 share placing it behind CBS competitor 106.7 KROQ’s 3.6. 98.7 did outcume 106.7 by a slim margin; 2,308,400 to 2,296,100.
