Former WMAL Host Brian Wilson Takes Mornings At WWTN Nashville

Cumulus Media Conservative Talk “Supertalk 99.7 WTN” WWTN Hendersonville/Nashville TN has filled its morning opening with former WMAL Washington DC host Brian Wilson. Wilson had been filling-in on the morning show at WWTN since Ralph Bristol’s exit in January. Wilson himself had been let go from mornings at Cumulus’ 630 WMAL Washington DC/105.9 WMAL-FM Woodbridge VA in May 2017. Prior to joining WMAL in 2011, Wilson was a senior correspondent and anchor for Fox News Channel. He also spent two terms at Fox’s WTTG-TV Washington DC where he co-anchored their morning news. Ralph Bristol Departs Mornings At 99.7 WTN Nashville

Another big name exit from mornings at a Cumulus Media station as Ralph Bristol departs after 11 years in mornings at Conservative Talk “Supertalk 99.7 WTN” WWTN Hendersonville/Nashville TN. In a long Facebook post last Wednesday explaining his departure, Bristol framed the exit as being “due to irreconcilable editorial differences. We cannot agree on what information and communications should be kept private and which should be hashed out publicly. Syndicated advice host Dave Ramsey will be changing stations in Nashville on January 1 as he leaves Cumulus News/Talk 99.7 WWTN for Cromwell Sports “102.5 The Game” WPRT. WWTN had been Ramsey’s flagship station for the past twenty years, but were unable to come to terms on a contract renewal.
