For $2.7 million Big Radio Pro purchases Standards 103.3 KZPO Lindsay/Visalia from the Estate of Linda Ware, the CP for 100.1 KNGS Coalinga from William Zawila, the CP for 106.9 KAAX Avenal from Avenal Educational Services, the CP for 94.7 KYAF Firebaugh from Central Valley Educational Services, and the CP for 102.1 KZPE Ford City/Bakersfield from the Estate of H.L. Charles. The buyer is a Bakersfield based Spanish language programmer and consultant. Station Moves Univision’s Manhattan booster for Regional Mexican “92.7 Nueva York” WQBU Garden City is looking to cross the street, literally. WQBU-1 is applying to move from 450 W. 33rd Street to 460 W. 34th St with an increase from 80 watts to 99 watts at 76 meters continuing to utilize a directional array (Coverage Map). Educational Media Foundation’s 90.9 WKTZ-FM Jacksonville, FL also seeks to move across the street. WKTZ-FM will shift from its current tower where it operates with 50kW at 141 meters to 41kW at 166 meters (Coverage Map).
