New Rocker To Launch On Oregon Coast

As we first reported in our 4/23 Domain Insight, Jacobs Radio Programming has announced it will launch “93.3 The Rock” KEUB Gearhart/Astoria OR on Friday, May 25. Currently AC “Cube 93.3”, the station is in the process of being sold to Jacobs for $80,000 marking his entry into the Astoria market to pair with stations in Western Oregon and Washington. The new format will be positioned as “Oregon Coast’s Rock Station” and feature programming from Westwood One. In discussing the new format, owner Jeff Jacobs told the Daily Astorian, “No one is super-serving the males between 18- and 49-years-old. In general, no one’s really taking care of that age group, which is nearly half of the population of the county. What we’ve devised is a perfect fit for this.”
