No music or talent changes accompanied the name change, which gives the station a fresh coat of paint following the August swap of ‘Fish’ for Curtis Gross as morning co-host with Connie. Connie & Fish had teamed at multiple stations in Wisconsin from 1996-2010 including a decade at CHR “Z104” WZEE Madison. Fish later spent time as part of the morning show at Hubbard Hot AC “KS 95” 94.5 KSTP-FM Minneapolis, while Gross replaced him at WZEE through their move to Grand Rapids in 2012. WLHT ranked fourth in the Grand Rapids market with a 4.7 share in the Summer 2017 Nielsen Audio ratings.

The new 104.9 W285FO signal allows the translator to upgrade from 88w/138m to 250 watts improving its coverage of the market. The station jumped from a 0.0 share in the Spring 2016 Nielsen Audio ratings to a 0.8 in the Summer book following the launch of the FM signal in June.
