Alexandra Communications has pulled the plug on Rock “93.7 The Rockin’ River” KRKG Kennewick, WA. At 3:00pm on Wednesday, KRKG flipped to Spanish AC “Exitos 93.7“. The flip helps fill the void created when Bustos Media flipped 96.7 KMMG Benton City to Regional Mexican “La Zeta” in December 2014.

A New Beat For Kennewick/Pasco/Richland

Jacobs Radio Programming has launched Adult CHR “107.3 The Beat” in Kennewick WA. The station covers Kennewick via translator K297BE. The 50 watt translator is being fed via 106.1 KWCQ Condon OR. KWCQ was sold to Jacobs Radio Programming earlier this month from Haystack Broadcasting for $12,500. Jacobs Radio Programming also operates Classic Rock “U-Rock” over a network of translators in Southern Washington and Northern Oregon.

Tri-Cities Washington AM Shuffle

James Ingstad continues to shuffle the programming at his recently acquired AM’s in Washington State. News/Talk 1340 KJOX Kennewick has flipped to Sports “ESPN 1340“. The station will simulcast the programming of Bonneville’s “710 ESPN” KIRO Seattle from 9am to 6pm daily and ESPN Radio the remainder of the day along with Seattle Mariners baseball, Washington State University football and basketball, and Gonzaga basketball. Concurrently sister 960 KALE Richland drops Fox Sports Radio for Classic Country. The KJOX calls were moved to 1340 in February when it was swapped with the KTCR calls that were moved to 1390 in Yakima.
