Jacent Jackson Returns To San Francisco To Program KFOG

Cumulus Media’s 104.5 KFOG San Francisco/97.7 KFGG Los Gatos/San Jose has announced the addition of Jacent Jackson as Program Director. Jackson most recently programmed Alternative “Live 105” 105.3 KITS until Entercom relaunched the station as “Alt 105.3” in December 2017. He has also programmed in Milwaukee and Boise during his career. The move comes as KFOG shies further away from its AAA heritage into a more Alternative Rock leaning position following the addition of the Woody Show for mornings. Numme most recently programmed “Rock 98.9” KVRQ Seattle until its flip to Country in December. A number of Mainstream currents and recurrents have been added to the playlist including Demi Lovato, Maroon 5, Portugal The Man, Taylor Swift, Chainsmokers, and Sia. Bonneville International will LMA Entercom’s required spin-offs in Sacramento and San Francisco. Bonneville International will gain control of four of CBS’ five stations in Sacramento: AC “Mix 96” 96.1 KYMX, Hot AC “Now 100.5” KZZO, “New Country 105.1” KNCI, and “Sports 1140” KHTK. Bonneville also will operate four stations in San Francisco: CBS Radio CHR “99.7 Now” KMVQ and Entercom AC 96.5 KOIT, Classic Rock “98.5 K-Fox” KUFX, and Urban AC 102.9 KBLX. In order to complete its merger with CBS Radio, Entercom has agreed to divest sixteen stations in order to ensure regulatory approval.
