People Moves 3/2: Sean Farnham Quickly Departs Afternoons At 710 ESPN Los Angeles

After joining the afternoon show at “710 ESPN” KSPN Los Angeles at the beginning of the year, Sean Farnham has quietly exited the station. Farnham was set to be paired with Marcellus Wiley and Eric Davis, but Davis was quickly let go following sexual harassment allegations while working at NFL Network. No official announcement has been made over Farnham’s exit, but the station has renamed the afternoon show as “Afternoons with Marcellus & Travis” as Travis Rodgers has been filling in on the afternoon show. Midwest Family Broadcasting Rhythmic CHR “93.1 Jamz” WJQM De Forest/Madison WI has imported Shady back from nights at sister CHR “Live 99.9” WQLQ Benton Harbor MI/South Bend IN as co-host of the newly renamed “Krista & The Morning Rush”. Shady fills the opening created by Marco’s departure last fall to move to mornings at West Virginia Radio Corp’s 97.5 WKMZ Hagerstown MD. He joins host Krista Hatcher and producer Aaron White on WJQM’s morning show. Prior to joining WQLQ for its launch in 2016, Shady served as overnight host and producer of Holmes & The Freak Show in nights at WJQM.

Nearly three years after selling CHR “U93” 92.9 WNDV-FM South Bend, “Rock 97.7” WYXX Goshen, and 1980s Hits 102.3 WYET New Carlisle IN to Sound Management LLC, Artistic Media Partners is reacquiring the three stations for $3.4 million. Sound Management had paid $3.5 million for the stations in October 2014, but the owners of that company also make up the management and part of the ownership of Artistic. The deal reunites the three FMs with Standards 1620 WDND South Bend and two FMs in Bloomington IN. The estate of Joel Kinlow sells Silent 101.5 KAVH Eudora AR to Larry Fuss’ Contemporary Communications for $75,000. Midwest Family Broadcasting launched CHR “Live 99.9” WQLQ Benton Harbor MI following a weekend of stunting with television theme songs. Across town Artistic Media Partners broke off the simulcast of Classic Hits “The Stream” to debut Classic Rock “Rock 97.7” WYXX Goshen. Station Sales Starboard Media Foundation is acquiring multiple stations in Fort Myers FL. Starboard will acquire Classic Country “Twang 106.7” 1410 WMYR Fort Myers and 106.7 W294AN Fort Myers Beach from Mark Follett’s Gulf Breeze Radio License LLC for $546,733.82. The Catholic operator will also purchase AC “98FM Marco Island” 1480 WVOI and Spanish CHR “Ardiente Radio” 1660 WCNZ Marco Island from Almodovar Media Corporation for the assumption of the $356,266.18 owed on the promissory note by Almodovar to previous owner J&B WCNZ/WVOI LLC.
