iHeartMedia is resetting moves it made three years ago in Columbia, SC.
Conservative Talk 100.1 WVOC-FM West Columbia has begun simulcasting on 560 WXBT Columbia, bringing WVOC’s programming back to the frequency it called home from 1986 until 2011. That move forces Sports “560 The Team” back to 1400 WCOS Columbia under new “Fox Sports Radio 1400” branding leading to the end of Gospel “Hallelujah 1400“.
WXBT let go of most of their local hosts at the end of October in preparation of these changes. At this point both 560 WXBT and 100.1 WVOC-FM will simulcast the Talk programming, but rumors persist of a new music format coming to the FM. Perhaps even a return of the former Urban “100.1 The Beat” branding found on the station prior to the 2011 shakeup.
