Middle Tennessee State University’s Public Jazz/Classical 89.5 WMOT Murfreesboro/Nashville TN will flip to Americana “Roots Radio” on Friday, September 2.
The new format is in partnership with the syndicated Music City Roots which will air on the station. Jessie Scott, most recently in MD/Middays at “Sun Radio” in KDRP Dripping Springs/Austin TX will serve as Program Director. Scott has also worked at WNBC and WHN New York, WMMO Orlando, and MusicFog.com.
The station will also continue to carry Middle Tennessee State University Sports coverage. The previous Jazz format will move to WMOT-HD2 and also air on 92.3 W222BZ Bluhmtown/Murfreesboro and 104.9 W285FB Bellevue/Nashville with the latter debuting by November.
I see that they are once again trying for a translator (however unnecessary) in the Bellevue area.
