A few months after transferring from Richmond to St. Louis to program then-newly launched Alternative “Alt 104.9” KLLT Columbia IL/St. Louis, Dustin Fletcher has been promoted to Director of Alternative Rock Programming for iHeartMedia’s St. Louis Region.
As part of his expanded duties, Fletcher will add day-to-day programming for Alternative “Alt 106.3” KDXA Ankeny/Des Moines IA. He takes the programming reins from Greg Chance, who he will now report to as Chance remains in place as SVP/Programming for iHeartMedia’s Iowa stations and Operations Manager for Des Moines.
iHeartMedia announced today new programming roles for Dustin Fletcher, effective immediately. Fletcher has been named Director of Alternative Rock Programming for iHeartMedia’s St. Louis Region as well as the Program Director for ALT 106.3, Des Moines’ Alternative Rock. He will continue to serve as the Program Director for ALT 104.9, St. Louis’ Alternative Rock, a position he has held since December 2016. The iHeartMedia St. Louis Region Alternative Rock brands have a strong cross-platform presence and broadcast several popular personalities including “The Woody Show,” Clutch, “Sixx Sense,” Fletcher, “Scratch N Stiff’ and Tony “The Whipping Boy.”
iHeartMedia has massive consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. Fletcher will be responsible for the day-to-day programming operations for the iHeartMedia St. Louis Region Alternative Rock brands, ALT 104.9 and ALT 106.3. He will work closely with both markets on-air personalities and sales teams to oversee the stations’ on-air content, digital footprint and music programming. Fletcher will report to Greg Chance, Region Senior Vice President of Programming for the St. Louis Region, and A.J., Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia St. Louis.

Fletcher brings over 10 years of programming expertise to his new roles. Prior to joining ALT 104.9, he served as Program Director and Midday Host for iHeartMedia Richmond’s XL102 and Program Director for 96.1 The Planet. Fletcher has previously worked at stations including: WFNX-FM in Boston, MA; WFXH-FM in Savannah, GA; WDYL-FM in Richmond, VA; and WFNZ in Knoxville, TN.
