iHeartMedia has appointed Tony Matteo as Senior Vice President of Programming for its Central California / Nevada region which includes Fresno, Las Vegas, and Sacramento.
Matteo moves from Wichita where served as Senior Vice President of Programming for the Omaha region. He has also served as Operations Manager for the Wichita cluster, Program Director of Variety Hits “106.5 The Lake” WHLK Cleveland, and PD of Hot AC “Alice 95.5” KTOZ Springfield MO during his career.
Matteo succeeds JoJo Turnbeaugh, who moved to the Denver region in May.
iHeartMedia announced today that Tony Matteo has been named Region Senior Vice President of Programming for its Central California / Nevada region, effective immediately. iHeartMedia’s Central California / Nevada region has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — including 95.5 The Bull, Sunny 106.5, 93.7 The River and REAL 103.9 – and broadcasts popular on-air personalities Marco in the Morning, Bobby Bones, Big Boy and The Dog & Joe Show.
iHeartMedia has massive consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. Matteo will work with on-air personalities and program directors from the 36 radio station brands in iHeartMedia’s Central California / Nevada region to oversee on-air content and music programming.

Tony previously worked as the Region Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Omaha Region based in Wichita, KS. He also served as the Program Director for 106.5 The Lake in Cleveland, Ohio, and Program Director for iHeartMedia Springfield, Missouri.
