Candace Dixon-Horne was a friend during my first crack at college at the University of Arkansas. She was planning to attend flight attendant training after graduation but got into radio sales for Cumulus as it was building that cluster from George Hochman’s and Pat Demaree’s stations. She also worked a few years for Clear Channel before going back to Cumulus. I remember her being personable and very sharp. I never would’ve seen her owning radio stations but always figured she’d do more than just work as a flight attendant. Seeing an old friend do something amazing is really cool.
