Delmar Communications Classic Hits 1550 WDLR/92.9 W225CM Delaware OH is now simulcasting in Columbus on TSJ Radio’s 1580 WVKO ahead of an apparent sale.
WVKO had most recently been carrying a Gospel format as “92.9 The Drum“, however its translator 92.9 W225CS Columbus has been off the air since February with an STA filing stating its equipment is being replaced. It is that translator that would appear to drive this new arrangement as both WDLR and WVKO’s translators are located on 92.9. Under common ownership, one or both of those contours can be better optimized. Delaware OH is 27 miles north of Columbus with W225CM covering the northern suburbs of the market, while W225CS is currently licensed with most of its signal covering downtown and areas due east of the city.
WDLR joins a crowded Classic Hits marketplace in Columbus proper that includes Runnymede’s “Kool 101.7” WNKO, Saga’s “Rewind 103.5/104.3” WNND Pickerington/WNNP Richwood, and two Variety Hits stations in iHeartMedia’s “93.3 The Bus” WODC Ashville and NABCO’s “103.9 Jack-FM” WJKR Worthington.
