Cumulus News/Talk 1370 WCOA Pensacola adds a second brand on FM as 100.7 WJLQ Pensacola shifts to News/Talk as WCOA-FM.
The change displaces 80s/90s Hits “Journey 100” after less than nine months on the air and gives WCOA a 100kW FM signal with coverage in Mobile in addition to Pensacola.
However due to much of WCOA’s programming already airing in Mobile on Clear Channel’s 710 WNTM, 100.7 will have a separate lineup for much of the day. The stations will simulcast the first two hours of 1370’s Good Morning Pensacola from 6-8am. WMAL Washington’s Chris Plante will air from 8-11am on the FM followed by Mike Huckabee from 11-2pm and Phil Valentine from 2-5pm while the AM keeps Limbaugh and Hannity in those timeslots. Mark Levin will air on both stations from 5-8pm before breaking up again with the FM carrying John Batchelor and the AM Glenn Beck from 8-12am. Both stations will air Red Eye Radio overnight.
Cumulus applied for the WCOA-FM calls for 100.7 on April 10.
