The revolving door of local hosts in the short history of Merlin News/Talk “IQ 106.9” WWIQ Camden/Philadelphia is over as the station brings in the syndicated Don Imus starting Monday, July 15.
The station launched in May 2012 with “Philly’s Morning News” hosted by then Program Director Al Gardner and longtime Philadelphia television anchor Larry Mendte. Mendte was let go at the end of 2012 and replaced by WPIX-TV New York commentator Lionel. Gardner departed the station in March.
The syndicated Imus previously had a long run in mornings on CBS’ crosstown News/Talk 1210 WPHT. His Cumulus Media Networks program will air on WWIQ from 6-9am.
