About Jonathon Brandmeier
Jonathon Brandmeier has won radio’s coveted Marconi Award, multiple Billboard Magazine Radio Personality Awards and was named one of Talker’s Magazine’s “100 Most Important Radio Hosts in America”. His radio career began at age 15 in his hometown of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and before long his on air antics in Milwaukee created a buzz when a national radio talent search named Brandmeier one of the Top 5 Talents in the country alongside Howard Stern. From there Brandmeier went to mornings at KZZP in Phoenix. After quickly becoming a force in the Phoenix radio market, Brandmeier took over morning drive at WLUP/The Loop in Chicago and then dominated Chicago radio for several years until making a move to Afternoon Drive in Los Angeles. In 1998, CBS Radio simulcast Brandmeier in Chicago and Los Angeles. In 2005, Brandmeier returned to Chicago to host mornings on The Loop and, most recently, on WGN-AM.
The Chicago-specific statement that Mr. Feder posted includes one other, very important detail: Apparently, Dennis Miller is retiring from radio–and this show is the replacement.

So what happens with Rush?
In Chicago, absolutely nothing: Both that post from Mr. Feder and a separate story from the Tribune (at http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/breaking/ct-johnny-b-wls-am-0227-biz-20150226-story.html) say that the show will air on WLS from 9:00 to 11:00 (CT)–so the final hour locally may be delayed or preempted altogether.
