Update 5/14/10: WMIB made its flip to Spanish Hot AC “103.5 Super X” at noon today. The station will flank sister Spanish CHR “Mega 94.9” WMGE against competitors from SBS and Univision. Its most direct competitors appear to be SBS’ Spanish AC “Romance 106.7” WRMA and Univision’s “Amor 107.5” WAMR.

Update 5/13/10: It appears as though the flip at WMIB is imminent. Jocks on the station have been tweeting @1035TheBeat that today is their last day on the station. Additionally, the two domains we reported about earlier are now live on the Clear Channel servers while a third domain SuperX1035.com was registered by CC on Tuesday.
WMIB night jock Prince Markie Dee confirmed the flip will be to Spanish Oldies at noon on Friday:
@MIAIslandSpice we not going anywhere the beat is. Flipping to Spanish oldies tomorrow at noon.
Original Post 5/10/10: Clear Channel appears to be on the verge of a format change at Urban AC “103.5 The Beat” WMIB Miami. The attached logo appeared on Clear Channel’s servers this weekend, while a pair of domains were registered by a Clear Channel employee. 1035SuperX.com and 1035Super.com were registered by Mobile Mike Productions, a company run by an employee of Clear Channel Miami’s promotions department.
