As expected Bell Media flipped both “101.3 The Bounce” CJCH Halifax and Hot AC “105.3 Kool-FM” CFCA Kitchener ON to the CHR “Virgin Radio” brand.

No other changes will take place at CJCH, where the current airstaff remains in place. 105.3 CFCA will run jockless for now while previous morning host Angie Hill moves to sister Classic Hits “99.5 KFUN” CKKW.

Starting today (July 29) at 1 p.m., Bell Media Radio introduces 101.3 VIRGIN Radio to the Halifax community, extending this world-class brand to the east coast and completing its reach across Canada. Listeners across the region can continue to bounce along to the same great music by today’s biggest artists, while enjoying the same beloved personalities, entertaining programs, and exciting contests found on 101.3 The BOUNCE.

Starting today (July 29) at 12 noon Bell Media Radio introduces 105-3 Virgin Radio to the Kitchener community. Listeners across the region can now enjoy today’s most current music and artists with 105-3 Virgin Radio’s focus on Top 40 Hit Music.

Original Report 7/27: In addition to the pending flip of 105.3 CFCA Kitchener ON on Friday, Bell Media is planning on expanding its CHR “Virgin Radio” brand to Halifax.

CHR “101.3 The Bounce” CJCH Halifax is promoting a “big change” at 1:00pm Atlantic time on Friday. Just like the domain registered for Kitchener, 1013VirginRadio.com and .ca was registered in June.

Bell Media currently operates the CHR “Virgin Radio” brand in seven Canadian markets under license from Richard Branson’s Virgin Group. The brand is also utilized in eight additional nations since its 1990s launch in London.
