Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
November 2, 2017

Bonneville International Seattle San FranciscoBonneville International has revealed its market managers for the Sacramento and San Francisco stations it will be operating as part of Entercom’s planned divestitures to satisfy the DOJ.

Carl Gardner, who has ran Bonneville’s Seattle operations since 2008 will move to San Francisco to manage AC 96.5 KOIT, Classic Rock “98.5 K-Fox” KUFX, CHR “99.7 Now” KMVQ, and Urban AC 102.9 KBLX. Prior to joining Bonneville, Gardner spent 17 years at Journal Communications in multiple roles including Executive Vice President of
Television and Radio Operations, President of Radio Operations, and Vice President of Digital Media.

With Gardner moving to San Francisco, David Pridemore will be promoted to Market Manager from his current position as Director of Sales. Pridemore has worked at the stations since 1986 and will now directly oversee Sports “ESPN 710” KIRO, Conservative Talk “770 The Truth” KTTH, News/Talk 97.3 KIRO-FM and internet site MyNorthwest.com.

Current CBS Sacramento Market Manager Steve Cottingim will remain in charge of AC “Mix 96” 96.1 KYMX, Hot AC “Now 100.5” KZZO, “New Country 105.1” KNCI, and “Sports 1140” KHTK. Cottingim has managed the stations since 2005 and previously served as Director of Sales and General Sales Manager.

As part of Entercom’s settlement with the Department of Justice, the LMA on these stations to Bonneville cannot last longer than one year. No amendments to the LMA can be made without the DOJ’s approval. Entercom is also ordered to sell the stations out of the divestiture trust within 180 days.

Bonneville International Corp. has entered into an agreement to operate four radio stations in San Francisco and four radio stations in Sacramento, California, which have been divested as part of the merger between Entercom Communications Corp. and CBS Radio Inc., company officials announced Wednesday.

The stations Bonneville will operate in San Francisco are KOIT-FM, KMVQ-FM, KBLX-FM and KUFX-FM. In Sacramento, Bonneville will operate KYMX-FM, KZZO-FM, KHTK-AM and KNCI-FM.

Bonneville will begin operating the stations under a local marketing agreement with the Entercom Divestiture Trust, on completion of the Entercom/CBS merger, and subject to FCC approval and other customary conditions.

Bonneville has named Carl Gardner, previously its market manager in Seattle, as its market manager in San Francisco. Steve Cottingim will remain as market manager in Sacramento. David Pridemore, current Director of Sales at Bonneville Seattle, will replace Carl Gardner as market manager.

Bonneville currently owns and operates stations in Salt Lake City, including KSL-TV (NBC), KSL Newsradio, KSFI-FM and KRSP-FM; Seattle, including KIRO-FM, KTTH and 710 ESPN; Phoenix, including KTAR-FM, KMVP-FM and ESPN 620; and Denver, including KOSI-FM, KYGO-FM, KKFN-FM and KEPN-AM.
